Too cold and it takes too long, thereby pumping too much heat into the PCB risking damage. Very small/fine soldering tip heated up to proper temperature. The later and the board will pay for itself soon enough. Consider every game you play as free or saving you a $1 on location. Maintenance is a cost of the hobby, not part of an investment. Not everyone wants to deal with flakey 50 year old boards. My opinion is the Pascal board will make it easier to sell even if you don’t fully recover your cost. Seller probably new this, hence the low selling price. The most expensive repairs in pinball are replacing the boards and the playfield. You are not just looking at parts, but tools to install the parts and then possibly a serviceman to fix any bad repair. You have an undiagnosed problem so impossible to tell. I know it is impossible to gauge where the market is going, and I intend to keep the machine, but based on the condition of my machine would purchasing the Pascal all-in-one be worth the investment?Ĭommon for people to think that they should get back what they put into it. With purchasing the Pascal all-in-one I would be around $1,300 in on this machine.
